Your Travellers Cheques
When you receive your Travellers Cheques
  • You must sign each Travellers Cheque once, as soon as you receive it, in the specified place. This must be in your usual signature in non-erasable ink. You should sign each Cheque again only in the presence of the accepting agent when encashing the Cheque. If you have purchased Dual Signature cheques each of the signatories must sign each cheque once at the time of purchase. Either signatory can then countersign the cheques to encash them.
  • Please read the Purchase, Claim and Refund Conditions using the link from this site; you can also find full details inside the wallet provided with your Travellers Cheques. Follow these important Conditions whilest you are travelling - any refund will be subject to your compliance with these conditions.
Always
  • Keep your copy of the Purchase Agreement Form in a safe place, separate from your Travellers Cheques - you may be asked to provide it when encashing your Cheques or if you require refund assistance.
  • Remember to safeguard your Travellers Cheques as you would your cash. If you are travelling by aeroplane, don't place your Travellers Cheques in the luggage you "check-in", you should always carry them with you. When you arrive at your destination, please keep the Cheques in a safety deposit box, where this service is available.
Cashing your Travellers Cheques
  • When you go to cash your Travellers Cheques, remember to take your passport or similar identification with you. You may also need to show your copy of the Purchase Agreement Form as proof of purchase.
  • It is important that you make a note of the numbers of the Travellers Cheques as you cash them. Keep this record separate from your remaining Cheques.
